Creating and Managing Groups of Content

Acorn has two separate representations of your content:

Catalogs

Catalogs provide a mechanism to browse as well as search the asset database and are one of the many tools for organizing and finding your media assets in Acorn.

A clip can be in only one catalog since it represents the original clip

Deleting a clip from a catalog will delete the clip from Acorn

Clip Lists

Clip Lists are similar to catalogs in that they provide a mechanism for organizing and finding your media assets in Acorn.

A clip can be in more than one clip list since a clip list only contains references to the original clip

Deleting a clip from a clip list only deletes it from that list, it doesn’t delete the original clip from the server.
