Catalogs
Catalogs help you organize your Acorn content. They are presented like collections or folders of content: they can be nested and given a hierarchy.
Every clip within Acorn lives in exactly one catalog.
Acorn ingests new content into a year, month, day, hour structure found within the Media catalog group. Once ingested, you can add the appropriate metadata and optionally move the clips to a different catalog of your choosing.
Catalogs are found along the leftmost menu bar.
Within catalogs you will find your clips organized by group and then by the hierarchy created within those groups
Create a New Catalog
Within the catalogs window you will find the Create Catalog action button
Click Create Catalog
Assign the new catalog to a Group
Give the new catalog a Name
Click OK
You can create a hierarchical structure within catalogs by adding a / to indicate a level when naming your catalog.
E.g. New Project/Video/Captured
Edit or Delete a Catalog
To edit a catalog click the ellipsis and then click Edit Catalog
To delete a catalog click the ellipsis and then click Delete Catalog
Deleting a catalog will also delete all clips found within that catalog
Moving Clips between Catalogs
Select a clip and click the ellipsis to bring up the action menu.
Select Move Clip and then select the catalog where you would like the clip moved
Click OK
