When importing a clip into Premiere, Acorn will include the path to both the original file and to an edit proxy if one has been generated.
If no edit proxy existed when you imported your clip(s), you can generate an edit proxy and attach it to your imported clip(s) after the fact.
Select the clip(s) that you want to generate an edit proxy for.
Select the Proxies metadata panel
Proxies
Select the Edit Proxy metadata field
Edit Proxy
Select Generate
Generate
Click Save
Save
Verify that the edit proxies have been created
Click the refresh arrow
Verify that the Edit Proxy metadata field shows as Complete
Complete
Depending upon how busy the system is the edit proxies can take some time to be created.
Once all of the edit proxies have been generated, you can attach them to your previously imported clips.
Click Attach Proxies
Attach Proxies
Clicking Attach Proxies will attach edit proxies to all of the clips that have a created edit proxy within your project.
